Review #15440719 “From 725€ to 850€/week Rue de Seine, heart of Latin Quarter,”
Another wonderful stay at the best location in Paris
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We enjoyed our week in St Germain so much last year that we came back to do it again. The Rue de Seine apartment is in easy walking distance of the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Sainte-Chappelle, Conciergerie, Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame, Cluny and Pantheon, so that making the most of our Museum Passes is effortless. It's also surrounded by great places to eat - the little dining room at Laduree was a standout this year. Best of all it's on a quiet courtyard, above the hustle and bustle, looking out over the chimney pots; most of the time all we could hear from there was the cries of seagulls. A perfect place to relax and read Simone de Beauvoir.

Great apartment for a stay at the heart of Paris
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Let me start with the positives:
1. Apartment is very conveniently located next to Quartier Latin:
10-15 minutes walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. There is a B RER line that goes to Charles de Gaule from Notre Dame St Michel.
There is "Paul" boulangerie around the corner,
Supermarket, laundromat and farmers market outlet are within less than 5 minutes walk
About 5 minutes from the Odeon metro stop
2. The apartment is inside a building complex. The inside yard is pristine and there is a gallery in the yard and a flower garden.
3. It is very quiet both from street noises and neighbors
4. Rue de Seine is full of galleries and crafts
5. The apartment has plenty of space to house 4 people. It is not Hyatt, but we were very pleased with the bathroom, the kitchen, the fridge and the dining table
6. The cleaning lady arrived a few minutes after us and all was good
7. All else was as expected, explicit communication with the rental manager, who fulfilled on time all contractual terms

Great location for sightseeing
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We were looking for a budget-friendly apartment in the heart of Paris for our family of four (two adults and two children aged 12 and 10 years), and this apartment met our needs perfectly. The Seine was a two-minute walk away, and the Louvre was right across the river. We walked everywhere, and we loved the fact that we were so close to many museums and other tourist must-sees that we could easily go "home" for a midday break. The apartment is located on a lovely street with lots of art galleries, but there are several food shops within a block or two as well. Every morning during our six-day stay at the apartment, we popped down to one of the local boulangeries for a fresh baguette to enjoy with our breakfast. Florence was very helpful in giving us a quick tour of the neighbourhood when we first arrived.
The apartment is as advertised. It's small, but there was enough space for our family. We figured the small size was part of the apartment's charm. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics -- I'd just recommend bringing a sharp knife from home if you like to cook (or if you want to slice up baguettes!). Because it faces onto an inner courtyard the apartment is very quiet, and we enjoyed a peaceful night sleep each night we were there.
We were glad we had packed light, because it might be a challenge to haul big suitcases up the five flights of stairs. We quickly got used to climbing the stairs to the apartment a few times each day, though, and all that stair-climbing served as good training for our final day in Paris, when we climbed the stairs to the second level of the Eiffel Tower. Plus, we worked off enough calories each day to justify eating all those baguettes.
We'd recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a simple, ideally located apartment to use as a home base for exploring Paris.

Live like a resident in St Germain des Pres
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This small apartment is really perfect if you want to live like a resident of the quarter. It is worth the trade off for the location, which is central to the village anchored by St Germain des Pres and Place St Michel, consisting of a lot of art galleries, small stores, small restaurants, and a lively pedestrian st (rue St Andre des Arts/rue de Buci). There is a Carrefour grocery store one block away with everything you need, we cooked in all but 33-4 meals over a five day stay. There's also a fresh produce and meat market on rue de Siene, which even at the end of February was open most days with fresh stuff. Having previously stayed in the 1st, 4th, and 5th, I am now totally in love with the 6th, my new favorite neighborhood in Paris. The unit itself has everything you need (so long as you're not expecting much more than the basics), and even though the weather was cold the unit was toasty warm and we enjoyed hanging out there at all hours. In the seasons when it would be warm enough to open the windows, it would be lovely to open these and enjoy the peace of the courtyard. But even in the winter, the light coming in in the morning and during the rest of the day was adequate for reading without lights. The tv, internet, electronics, bathroom, laundry, etc, all work well as promised. The owner has an good CD and book selection, we enjoyed reading and listening to what was there. Ruben was very responsive and communicative in making the arrangements with us and accepting the reservation, and Florence was most effective orienting us to the unit, the neighborhood, and where things like the grocery store could be found. The only downside most would say is the stairs, but to me the location and unit make up for it. I'm really looking forward to coming back to Paris, and this will be the unit I will want to rent.

Absolute charm in St. Germain
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We can only echo the many 5 star comments that have been previously made about this property. We had a wonderful stay ... the charm and location can not be understated.
Ruben was extremely helpful and kind, and Hakim - the best!
It is with great emotion that I place this review as we were in Paris during the attacks. We have left a part of heart with our fellow citizens of Paris.
We can not wait to return later this year. We can not imagine staying anywhere else.

Long weekend in Paris
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We were first time visitors to Paris and couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment was situated near many restaurants, shops, and public transportation. It was clean and sufficiently appointed - and working with the manager was a breeze. Be prepared for five flights of winding stairs - not for everyone as no elevator. The courtyard leading to the apartment entrance was quaint and beautifully kept. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a great location to explore Paris.

We spent a glorious week here with our daughters. Ideally located for sightseeing and eating out, and so comfortable and charming. I wanted my own apartment magically transported to Paris, and this was almost exactly it!

“PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN PARIS FOR 4 PEOPLE OR UNDER”
We come to Paris every summer for a month or so. This apartment is adorable. It is on what I think is the best street in all of Paris. It's very quiet facing the courtyard. Ruben is wonderful and so helpful. Also use the driver he works with, Hakim. They are so helpful. It's a 5 floor walk up with was great for us but may be hard for older travelers. We traveled with 2 teens. French apartments are small but charming. Fully functioning kitchen. I would try to book this every summer so hopefully I'll beat you all to it. ;) Can't recommend it enough.

We visited Paris in mid April. We were really happy with the Trendy Saint Germain apartment. It was exactly how it was presented on Airbnb. It was in a great location, close enough to walk to most of the things we wanted to do and to the metro so we could easily get anywhere else we wanted to go. The bed is comfortable and the pull out was comfortable enough. Everything was clean and the woman who takes care of the apartment is onsite and was always available when we had questions.

This apartment is ideally located in St. Germain. There is a nice interior courtyard, nearby restaurants and even an outdoor market at the bottom of the apartment. The unit is fully equipped and comfortable. I recommend staying here!
