Wow Just. Wow.

Perfect location! Perfect transfers as suggested buy Ruben. Pascal was there to greet us.......from booking to departure I've never had anything run so smoothly. The apartment was exactly as described and very comfortable. Nice quiet area. We loved it and would highly recommend it!! Nothing and I mean nothing ever goes so smoothly for us as this did............

Quiet, clean and great location
This was the perfect place for a 6 day trip to Paris. The apartment was cute, comfortable and clean. It's on the 6th floor with a great view over the building tops of The Eiffel Tower. It's close to the metro and great cafes. I would highly recommend staying here. Ruben was great to work with.

This was my third stay at Magical Abbesses - and it won't be my last. I wrote a review after my first stay ("Wow. Just Wow") several years ago. But thought I should give a refresher - since this really is the only place I ever want to stay when I come to Paris. The apartment is exactly as described - spotless, cozy, amazing views (both the Eiffel Tower and the dome of the Sacré Coeur), everything you could need in a home-away-from-home. Owner Pascal and property manager Ruben are fantastic ! Reliable and honest. Don't look any further, if you want a fabulous place, in a super neighborhood, at a great price! See you again in April, Pascal and Ruben!

A real gem!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Stayed in the apartment for one week in july and it was a very good experience. The apartment had more or less every amenity one might wish for, it was very clean and well kept, i dare say it is one of the best i have rented in Paris until now. The weather was quite hot during the stay but the large number of windows, doors and balconies + two big adjustable ceiling fans made the apartment easy to keep cool. There are two balconies in the living room, one facing east and one facing west, both with tables and foldable chairs, one can catch the morning sun on one and the sunset on the other. It is also possible to see the Eiffel tower and the evening light show on the balcony facing west. There are also two smaller balconies facing north, one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom, both give a nice view of the busy Rue des Abbesses down below. Storage for clothing and such is well served with a big closet in the bedroom and a large walk-in wardrobe in the bathroom.

The apartment is very well situated and there is a metro station for two crossing lines (nr.2 going east/west and nr.12 going south) just a few minutes walk from the building. The nearest cafe/bistro/restaurant is just next door, actually there are four within 20 meters of the front door and the nearest bakery is a 1 minute walk away (closed on mondays) down on the corner of the next block. In short, i can recommend the apartment to other potential visitors without any reservations.

Amazing place in an amazing location...
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I have been to Paris many times, but this particular time would be my girlfriend's first time and I wanted to stay in my favorite part of Paris, Montmartre. I started to research for rentals and came across Pacal's highly reviewed apartment. I immediately booked it and it turned out to be a fantastic decision.

First off, dealing with Ruben (booking agent) and Pascal (owner), made things extremely easy. Ruben was very informative throughout the entire process and Pascal was at the apartment to greet us and answer any questions we had. As for the apartment itself, it's perfect for anyone. Great views of Sacre Coeur from the bedroom window and awesome views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower from the balcony in the living room. The apartment has 4 balconies and gets a ton of great light. The entire apartment is up-to-date and has everything you could ever need. Great shower, great kitchen, tons of space for luggage and clothing and a full size washer and dryer, which was amazing for me as this was the last stop on a 20 day trip.

As for the location, it's on a great street with a ton of bars, restaurants and shopping. It's a 30 second walk from the metro station and a 10 minute walk up the hill to the Sacre Coeur. It's easy to find and you feel extremely safe in this area. The only downside was having to leave. We will definitely be back to Paris soon and Pascal's apartment will be our first choice.

The apartment is spacious, neat, tidy and clean with great laundry facilities and a fabulous shower. The windows to the balconies opened up nicely which provided lots of fresh air. The kitchen is very functional and well appointed. There is ample closet space. The elevator is small but reliable. Location is fantastic! Two minutes from the metro and numerous restaurants right outside the front door. Hopefully the owner fixed the toilet seat and the overhead lights in the shower room.

My wife and I completely enjoyed our Paris experience thanks to this wonderfully located and appointed VRBO. Pascal was wonderful and managed our welcome with ease. The views are fantastic. Its in a neighborhood that is vibrant and fun. The metro is at your doorstep which gives you the ability to go anywhere and return at night for an inviting quiet rest. The inks so much for the stay.

The apartment was exactly as described. Very clean and comfy. The view from all the windows in the apartment are charming. Quiet at night and the shower was FANTASTIC! Location is great with; an award winning pastry place across the street, coffee and food along the street, Metro right on the corner, "The Love Wall" also on the corner, and a beautiful basilica with an over look of the Paris night sky just a10 min walk away. Ruben was great, very helpful, friendly and patient. We would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this apt, and it was perfect. Quiet, clean, comfortable- felt like home. Pretty views from all 3 sides of apt. Kitchen nicely equipped (a couple nights we shopped on rue abbesses - fresh produce, cheese, baguette and of course wine, and ate in). The location is great, 2 minutes to metro (tip- there's an elevator) and fun bars/restaurants watching the locals coming home from work. If you have time, the D day Normandy tour was remarkable. And Nuit Blanche if you are here the 1st Sat in October. Hoping we get to return one day! Thanks Ruben and Pascal.

All of the previous reviews are true...the apartment is spotless, the kitchen is well equipped, the views are stunning (some of my best photos were taken from the bathroom window), the bed is comfortable, there is abundant natural light...all mentioned in previous reviews, and all very true. Rent this apartment. I do want to say thank you to Pascal for being kind, and understanding. I had become quite ill on the flight from The U.S., and when we arrived at the apartment, Pascal was waiting. I barely remember seeing him as I found the bedroom and fell into the bed. He took a lot of time with Rick, showing him around, and explaining how everything worked, as French appliances are very much different from American ones. He explained everything well, because later, Rick was able to explain everything to me. Late the next day, when I was beginning to feel better, the rainfall shower was the best medicine I could have asked reviving, and comforting. In a text, later in our stay, Pascal sent his best wishes that I had recovered. Very thoughtful. Also...we took advantage of free calls to the United States using the landline. Both of us have elderly parents, and it was nice to be able to call them frequently. I should also mention the folder on the kitchen is packed full of information about the apartment, the appliances, the area, emergencies, everything! So helpful. Thank you to Pascal, and to Ruben. I feel fortunate to have found this apartment.

We stayed in the appartment for a long weekend in May 2015 and it had everything you need. The tremendous views and situation of the appartment is worth mentioning. The subway is just around the corner and restaurants are in walking distance. The owners are real nice and they do everything to make your stay comfortable. Pascal and Ruben: thank you very much for a couple of very good days in Paris.

My husband and I spent our 15th Anniversary here....It couldnt have been more perfect! The apartment was exceptionally clean with views to die for! The views are what you dream about when you go to Paris. I couldn't believe how lucky we were to get such a nice apartment in such a cool hip area. The bakery across the street was voted #1 for its bread and the tarts were so good! Pascal was so sweet and he made us feel right at home and gave us good advice where to go. My husband and my only complaint...we had to leave!! Not only would we recommend this place, we plan on coming back as soon as we can because we barely scratched the surface. Review #8677687 Wow. Just, wow.
I think all of the previous reviewers have said pretty much everything there is to say about this wonderful apartment. It's SPOTLESS (I'm kind of a germophobe - and this place gets an A+). The views. Ooh the views! It's unbelievably well equipped for a rental, above and beyond the basics including a dishwasher, washer and (separate) dryer, full sized refrigerator AND freezer, enough dishware to make a full meal (there was even a food processor and a bundt pan to name a few random things!), flat screen TV with all the channels (although I only watched TV1 a few times when France was playing in the World Cup), internet radio with a gazillion stations...I could go on. The entire apartment was remodeled a few years ago by the owner (who I'll get to in a moment) in very good taste - modern clean lines, with a few antiques thrown in for character. Plenty of storage. I come to Paris at least once a year for my job, and I've rented many apartments. This one is by far the nicest in terms of all of the above, and it's perfectly located right in the heart of Montmartre. If you know Paris, or if you do your research and want to stay in the most romantic, quaint, village-y part of the city, then Montmartre is the place. This apartment is on the top floor (with elevator), on rue des Abbesses, which can be noisy in the evening, but living in Paris means living the Parisian lifestyle and I was never in bed before midnight (and I'm normally asleep by 9:30 at home). But the noise was so typically Parisian! Laughter, clinking of glasses and tableware, accordion music... And listening to it all from the bedroom window, or from one of the cute balconies with the unbelievable views of the Eiffel tower...amazing. It's literally 100 steps from the metro (line 12). But it's also within short walking distance of line 2 and line 4 - so you can get anywhere in a jiffy. But I think that the topper for me was the excellent service provided by Ruben and the owner, Pascal. Pascal was there to greet me when I arrived. He's friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I think it's important to note that he has owned this apartment for over 20 years, and this is clearly his prize and joy pied-à-terre. It makes a difference to know that the proprietor is on site regularly and really cares about his space. I left on a Saturday and on Monday my security deposit was already processed! Thank you, Pascal! I think I've found my home away from home...

It is bright, modern, comfortable and incredibly we'll situated. There are two metro stations very close so all of Paris was at our disposal. And we loved Montmartre. It is vibrant and charming. We would highly recommend this apartment for a couple or tree people. Ruben was wonderfully responsive and we hope to come back to recapture the magic

Review #8543575 Very Nice!!
We stayed for 5 nights in May, 2014 at Magical Abesses. Ruben was wonderful to work with and responded very quickly to all inquiries. Pascal, the owner was there to greet us when we arrived. The apartment was very clean and everything in working order. Our deposit was returned within a few days of checking out. We loved all the windows that provided wonderful cross breezes. The washer and dryer were very much appreciated as well. The 2 nearby metro stops made getting around very convenient. We used both but preferred the Abesses stop because the Pigalle stop involved a long walk up a very steep hill to get back to the apartment (bad knees!) so be aware of that and also know there is a lift at the Abesses stop that we didn't know about right away. The neighborhood is lively and fun and a stone's throw away from the Sacre Couer. Do not miss the Sacre Couer whatever you do. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It was fun to watch the Eiffel tower light up at dusk and to watch the twinkling light show from the balcony. The bed was reasonably comfortable and there is plenty of storage space with the huge closet in the shower/laundry room. It was convenient to have the toilet separate. I was fighting a terrible cold during our stay and actually slept 2 nights on the sofa to spare my husband all the coughing and nose blowing and was very comfortable. The kitchen is compact but had plenty of dishes, glassware, utensils, etc. We didn't cook but could have easily enough. All appliances were in working order. This neighborhood wakes early and stays up late. We closed the bedroom window at night to cut down the noise which wasn't a problem as it was cool when we were there but could be a problem during warmer weather. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom but unfortunately we didn't discover the controls for it until the last day. They are inside the closet on the left hand side. There is a remote control for the living room fan which is identical so we were looking for another controller for the bedroom. If it had been a big issue I'm sure we could have contacted Ruben for an answer :) In summary, we would stay here again without hesitation.

Favorit Paris apartment
We've been to Paris six times now, and the "Magical Abbesses" apartment is our new favorite. The location of the apartment is ideal, right in the center of the Abbesses neighborhood in Montmartre; close to two Metro lines and in walking distance of many great restaurants and shops. The apartment itself is spacious, light and airy, and spotlessly clean. The furnishings and appliances are high-end, contemporary and very comfortable. Our favorite part though was the tiny balconies with bistro table and chairs where we could sit and sip our morning coffee or evening wine and view the Paris rooftops and Tour Eiffel in the distance. The bedroom balcony also has a view of the top of Sacre Coeur. The walk-in shower with rainfall shower head was cool, and having the separate toilette room with sink was very convenient for multiple guests. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer, so we didn't need to pack as many clothes. The customer service provided by Ruben and Pascal the apartment owner was fantastic. All communications with Ruben prior to our arrival were answered promptly, and they were extremely flexible on the check-in time. We arrived at CDG at 7 a.m., and took the RER train and Metro directly to the apartment. Pascal was at the apartment when we got there, let us in and showed us how everything worked and made sure we had his number to call if anything were to go wrong. The ability to check-in that early after having travelled all day/night long really sets this property apart from the others. We loved this apartment and will definitely try to book it again for our next visit to Paris! Merci beaucoup to Ruben and Pascal.

When I decided to surprise my husband with a trip to Paris for his birthday, I spent weeks researching boutique hotels v apartments. My first choice area was St Germain, but all my first choice places were booked. I came across Ruben's website through another listing and that's how I found Magical Abbesses. What was reassuring was working with Ruben himself. He was responsive, friendly, helpful i.e.arranged to have champagne & fois gras waiting for us in the apartment. I debated about the area, but when I did a Google map of the street, I knew it was my dream Paris with the cobblestone streets, boulangeries and outdoor cafes. Once we were there, we realized we preferred this area because after being with crowds all day, we felt like we were getting away to a more private, local part of Paris. We were experiencing more than just the typical tourist experience. The metro makes it easy to get around; it’s a half a block away and is a very photographed metro stop because of its charm. We had an award winning boulangerie across the street from the apartment. I would make a French Press coffee in the morning and my husband would run across the street for a pastry. On one beautiful day we sat on our little terrace eating breakfast. Each morning, the first thing I would do is look out the window at the top of Sacre Couer and then go over to the view of the Eiffel Tower. I would do the same ritual at night. How great is it to have a glass of wine on a little balcony and watch the Eiffel Tower light show! The views, the balconies and the light in the apartment were as expected. The apartment is perfect for two. We never cooked, but the kitchen was well supplied. Americans have a reputation for liking their showers and we are no different, we adored the rain shower, shower. Since it was an 8 day trip, we liked having a washer and dryer. The big screen TV is nice, but we never turned it on. We listened to the fun jazz station; it actually was more an eclectic mix of music. The area is great for picnic items and one rainy night after hours of sightseeing, we just wanted to come home with a nice picnic dinner and bottle of wine. All in walking distance from Rue Abbesses to Rue Lepic you can get a roast chicken, charcuterie, cheeses, fresh fruit, desserts, pastries, wines… the choices are endless. The apartment and area exceeded our expectations. We would stay again and are already recommending it to our friends.

Wow… Where do I begin? Simply put, we had a fabulous time. My partner and I and her sister booked the apartment for nine nights. We had never rented an apartment before so we weren’t sure what to expect. Pascal and Ruben are amazing. We had an unexpected change of plans with our flight and both Ruben and Pascal were extremely attentive and flexible. Instead of arriving at the flat at 5:30 p.m. we arrived at 9:30 a.m. that morning. Pascal responded to my emails promptly so we did not have to hang out in CDG all day. He allowed us to drop off our bags and come back at 1:00 p.m. as the cleaning crew was due in the morning. He was extremely apologetic for not being ready eight hours early with less than six hours notice. The flat had everything you could ever imagine and then some. It is in a nice quiet building with courteous and friendly neighbors. It is in a GREAT location. Just a few steps from the metro, lots of yummy restaurants and cute shops. Lots of windows and light and modern. Each when we would get back from our day’s adventure, we could communicate with our families back home via the wireless network. It had a wonderful kitchen which allowed us to make our meals/tea in the morning and enjoy our wine before dinner. It has a beautiful shower which I still think about! The washing machine and dryer were easy to use thanks to the instruction book provided by Ruben. There was nothing I wished for as the apartment had everything. The outside terraces were lovely…only disappointment was that it was quite rainy while we were there so we were not able to enjoy them as much. Overall, I would recommend this apartment to any couple or couple plus one that is looking for an apartment in beautiful Montmartre. Pascal’s apartment made our trip to Paris extremely enjoyable with all of the comforts of home. I would recommend this apartment without hesitation!

3 Rue des Abbesses, Paris, IdF, 75018, France (442733)

We wanted to have a romantic time with Paris and that's exactly what we had. We fell in love. This little space-saving apartment was perfect for 3 girls and a weekend in Paris. Two on the bed and one on the sofa bed. Open Planned kitchen with breakfast bar was perfect for a late petit déjeuner. You could see the Eiffel tower from the toilet which we loved and the small terrasses - (can fit 2 people but we squeezed 3 make a perfect area to watch the sun set over the parisian rooftops. Cutely done up, very clean, lots of gadgets and wonderful hosts who met us on arrival and upon departure. The people in the rest of the building were wonderful too making sure we were looked after and safe. The area surrounding is stunning, absolute artists heaven. Many coffee shops and bakeries and supermarkets near by you can almost smell the baguette! Coming up to our stay the agent was also very helpful so we knew exactly what we needed. Thanks for a perfect weekend. Would definitely stay here again

My wife and I spent 10 days here to celebrate a wedding anniversary. It was a perfect choice. The view is as advertised and the apartment is meticulously and tastefully appointed. The kitchen features state-of-the-art appliances, and the owner provides free wireless and television/radio satellite connections. Though on the top floor, it is easily accessed by elevator. This was important to us because my wife has a disability and cannot climb stairs. And it is quiet. We were rarely aware of noise intruding from either inside or outside the building. The neighborhood has every convenience you could wish for. Shops and restaurants abound. Everything you might need is literally steps away. Other details are accurately listed in the official description and in other reviews, so we won't repeat them here -- except to add that the service we received from RentalsbyRuben was as exceptional as the apartment. The information we received was timely and accurate, and Ruben was proactive about ensuring that everything was in proper order so that the experience was as hassle-free as possible. The owner himself greeted us at the apartment when we arrived and was there to see us off (and help with luggage!) when we left. Suffice to say that if you are a couple or traveling alone and looking for an intimate, up-to-date and beautiful place to locate in Paris, you will be hard-pressed to do better than this. We will definitely be back.

There is so much choice when looking for an apartment in Paris- it is extremely hard to search all VBRO for example. I dealt with and several other rental companies by giving a list of my absolute requirements and let them send recommendations to me. Ruben sent me this one which meet all my requirements - and I could also verify his own reputation with some other agencies. It is a scary thing to wire several thousand dollars to someone so all the assurances were helpful. Indeed paying with PayPal worked perfectly. I even got my security deposit back the day after I left at no charge! In summary this is a wonderful upscale apartment with everything you could ever need. The appliances, furnishings, view and location were exceptional. The kitchen had everything a 'gourmet' kitchen needs! Food shopping everywhere! You can see 7 restaurants from the front door! Rue Abbesses is indeed the main 'village' street in Montmartre. About 4 blocks long and maybe 25 cafes and 6 bakeries. The metro stop is across the street. Montmartre was a good choice for us for one month. We walked everywhere. The Louvre was 30 minutes as was the Marais district and the Opera Garnier. Eiffel Tour, Champs Élysées were all day trips and we would walk 4-5 hours and maybe take the Metro home. Very easy! Concerns might be that the bed is not king size but queen. The fireplaces do not work but that is fine as you would not want the bother in an apartment building and wood would be very expensive! Personally I hate duvets and would prefer blankets and normal rectangular pillows - not the big square French style. In summer with the windows open the street chatter might be a concern but when cool and the windows are closed we never had a problem. The owners met us upon arrival. Taxi was €60 during the morning rush hour and €50 going back! Best money ever spent! Had some problem understanding the cook top instructions but the owners were readily available so all very satisfactory! The property was spotless clean! I would recommend to anyone! Nearby there was a wide choice of restaurants. All French restaurants are basically the same food. So character and service are what makes it special. Get off Abbesses to find better places as all are tourist traps on this touristy street. Up Lepic you find much better restaurants which still care! So just do it! Enjoy.
